Geek For E!

Movie Screening: Fifty Shades Of Gray (WED 02.11.15 – 7:30PM)

Have you been waiting for this one?  You know we at Geek for e have!  Will they give the book justice, how close is their ‘R’ take on the sexuality.  Is the bondage scene I read going to play out on screen as thematically as it did in my head when I was reading it?  So many questions.  We’re so very fortunate the studios have invited us, and now we’re inviting you.  15 of you.  That’s right a mere 15 winners this time (and that whole thing about getting there early?  this is one time you don’t want to mess with that!).  No code, just your best Christian or Anastasia (or both).  Details below the synopsis geeky faithful.

Can it deliver? Man, we sure hope so.

CONTEST: It’s  Universal Pictures’ FIFTY SHADES OF GREY time, and trust us, this screening IS the ultimate Valentine’s Day must-see event, with an emphasis on the romance (so ‘be lovin’ who you bring!).  In your best PG-13 (no R, lets not get crazy people; anything crossing the line will be deleted from the Facebook feed) – show us your Christian Grey or Anastasia Steele ‘look’ selfies.  Remember the characters looks range from bookish librarian to Grey’s 3-piece suits.  Horseback riding attire to Mile High Club comfy casual.  Get creative with your background images, find a friend and team up for a duo shot of both characters and Grey makin’ it rain (hey…that’s not bad).  We know the geeky faithful will find a way.  Post your pics to the Facebook post that brought you here (not to this website!).  Enter as many shots as you like (you can only win once).   The writers of Geekfore will pick the winners and they will be notified via Facebook by MON 02.09.15 which is when the submissions/contest ends; that gives you a week to work on your posts.  Your name on our RSVP list will appear as your Facebook moniker and you are required to check in with the studio rep at the theater door – tell em ‘Geekfore’ sent you.

THE FINE PRINT:

1) Not sure why we keep needing to repeat this, but this is it, REALLY.  If we cannot message you on Facebook, we can’t alert you to winning.  In fact there have been readers we’ve skipped over voting for in the past because we don’t have the option to ‘message’ them.  You must open that security in your settings and we are not Facebook Admins to show you how.  Just add ‘Geekfore’ as safe.

2) No substitutions.  We are not a hostess at the local theater.  If you win and choose not to go, we understand.  You aren’t hurting our feelings, nor will we desperately seek to fill your spot.  We also won’t swap your name for a buddy because you can’t make it.  Don’t ask, it won’t be answered.

3) Your RSVP listing does not guarantee your seat.  Arrive early, very early for this one!  When the theater is full, it is full and you will be turned away.
